Hey guys! I'm so happy the weather is warm and the summer is near. Every morning I drink my coffee in the living room with the windows wide open letting the sun in. That's where I get a little me time before the kids wake up. I've been getting a lot better at setting aside time in the morning to meditate, clear my thoughts, and pray.
Now that my husband and I are getting closer to our moving day, I've really stepped up my efforts to find all the things that are going to make our home complete. In my search, for window treatments I came across some beautiful ideas I thought I would share.
So without further ado, here goes!
Roman shades are stylish and great for keeping out sunlight. They look great paired with grommet or tab top curtains.
How beautiful are these grommet curtains? These curtains are perfect for wide windows and sliding doors with ripples that make it easy for opening and letting in light. You can get these curtains in sheer or thick to reduce outside noise.
Cafe curtains are best for the kitchen or bathroom. They're easy to open and close and can be used for maintaining some privacy when needed.
Valence window treatments are a great way to add dimension to your space. For a rustic farmhouse look a raw wooden valance works great. However, if you're looking for old school elegance you can add a metal or fabric valance.
Shutter windows are great for letting a little sunlight in in the morning. But for those who love to keep their space light and airy, shutter windows are perfect for adding style while maintaining an open window look.
Here's an extra treat by Maria Louise. If you would like to create your own homemade treatments check out her blog here.
Isn't this burlap shade the cutest? I didn't add it to my original top 5 list, but love it and just wanted to share.
Do you have a favorite on this list? What do you like or how did you decorate your windows?
